Pacifica radio is the most important alternative radio network in the United States. It is critical that it be defended. This
forum and discussion will look at the occupation that has been going on the Pacifica Foundation for weeks after the firing of Executive Director Summer Reese.
This community labor town hall meeting will look at what is happening at KPFA and Pacifica and where some in the staff,
listeners and advocates for community radio stand on these issues. Questions such as the financial crisis, transparency and accountability will be addressed and debated.
This raises the issue of the future of KPFA and Pacifica and how to rebuild KPFA and the Pacifica network so it can be the vital force it should be.
All Supporters of KPFA, Pacifica and community radio are invited to come to this important educational speak-out.
Endorsers, Labor Video Project, BFUU Social Justice Committee,Media Freedom Foundation and Project Censored.
Fellowship Hall, 1924 Cedar Street, Berkeley, CA 94609.

More of the same, fire all the paid staff, let Zeltzer control all Labor programming, make Project Censored daily for 2 hours, get rid of anyone who doesn't agree with Zeltzer, more of the same, more of the same, never ask why Pacifica needs to pay anyone $105,000 a year in a backroom deal signed off in the last few minutes before the signatories were out of office. Its more a pity that BFUU chooses to be involved without questioning anything. More of the same, more of the same...
