Project Root’s Dana Cafe is a monthly gathering in Oakland offering transformational classes and workshops at no cost to participants. Each month we invite different social change educators, teachers and facilitators from various arts and healing traditions to lead a session.
Dana Cafe is springing forward with Alonzo Young and his beautiful blend of conscious movement. We are fortunate to have such an experienced teacher and practitioner come join us to lead the April session. Come help spark some alchemy this spring!
This introductory class explores the transformative practice and benefits of conscious movement. The course transforms universal teachings into simple and easy steps which you can apply – and from which you can experience direct results – in your life. Through a combination of active practices, such as applied philosophy, centering, setting conscious intentions, music, and the dance-like movements of Taiji, participants will develop the fundamental skills, knowledge, and sensitivity to connect and dance with the divine within.
You will be introduced to the basic practices and tools to allow you to:
— Free yourself from involuntary responses to stress and fear
— Obtain greater efficiency and effectiveness at work and at home
— Develop a deeper connection with the divine, as well as your interpersonal relationships
— Discover your personal power and abundance
— Rejuvenate your health and well-being
— Dare to step into the unknown and be the change which will transform our world
