An Evening of Poetry and Prose with Robert Hass and Lyn Hejinian, A Benefit for Revolution Books.
Robert Hass is the author of many books of poetry and prose, most recently, What Light Can Do (Ecco). He served as the Poet Laureate of the U.S. from 1995-97 and has been awarded the National Book Award and the Pulitzer Prize. He teaches English at U.C. Berkeley.
Lyn Hejinian is an essayist, translator, scholar and poet. She teaches English at U.C. Berkeley. Her most recent book is The Book of a Thousand Eyes (Omnidawn Books). She founded the Solidarity Alliance at UCB in 2009, a coalition of unions, workers, staff, students and faculty against the privatization of public education.
