Prof. Walter Turner is the host of KPFA's radio show “Africa Today”. He teaches history and is Chairperson of Social Sciences at the College of Marin. Walter is also President of the Board of Directors of Global Exchange. Walter Turner will speak of recent trends and developments in Cuba, the dynamics we need be aware of beyond the blockade and the Cuba 5. He will also speak of the last five years on the African continent in which women have been on the frontlines for change in civil society.
