Meet at 3pm in the Parking Lot behind the Saturn Cafe (corner of Pacific Ave and Laurel St) in Downtown Santa Cruz
The 11th for the 11! On February 11th you are invited to join in a Parade in support and solidarity with the Santa Cruz 11!
Meeting at 3pm in the parking lot behind the Saturn Cafe in downtown Santa Cruz, we will parade through town spreading the word about the 11, dancing and having fun. Folks are encouraged to wear gold and bring noise makers, puppets, confetti and friends! It's a Parade! Creativity and sillyness are welcome!
The Santa Cruz 11 are community members facing charges from an occupation of an empty building owned by Wells Fargo in downtown. 7 of the 11 have had their charges dropped, however the City continues to spend thousands of dollars prosecuting the remaining 4. After two years their trial is scheduled to begin March 3rd and we invite you to join us in showing our support!
