Dedicated to the memory of Nelson Mandela. A panel discussion will bring activists to address the power, controversy and effectiveness of divestment as a tool for economic activism in different movements: the movement against apartheid in South Africa, the struggle for Palestinian rights, the global movement to avert the climate crisis. Film clips will accompany the panel, followed by an open conversation moderated by journalist, activist, and author Nora Barrows-Friedman.

Alongside, a touring exhibit of campaign posters compiled by AFSC and the Center for the Study of Political Graphics (CSPG) will be on display. Boycott! The Art of Economic Activism features materials from 60 years of contemporary and historical campaigns; colorful, powerful, and provocative.
