Imagine if you had a choice where your energy came from. What if it could be cleaner, greener, and more affordable?
Join the Berkeley Climate Action Coalition for an exciting discussion of Community Choice Energy: what it is, how it can bring local, renewable energy resources to the East Bay, and how it can generate jobs and other economic benefits. Hear about how Community Choice Energy can fast track greenhouse gas reductions while also offering competitive electricity rates.
We'll welcome guest speakers Rafael Silberblatt of Marin Clean Energy, California’s first Community Choice program, and Woody Hastings from the Climate Protection Campaign, an advocacy group central to the recent launch of Sonoma Clean Power. They'll discuss what it takes to get a Community Choice program up and running, and will be available to answer your questions about how to make Community Choice possible here in the East Bay!
Cost: Free
RSVP preferred: email debra [at] ecologycenter.org by February 7th.
Wheelchair accessible
