Since the passage of the Affordable Care Act, the health insurance bill has been a subject of constant controversy. Misleading rhetoric in the corporate media has referred to it as "socialist," and the right-wing Tea Party went so far as to shut down the government to block its funding. But what's the real story? How will the program truly affect working-class people, and who will benefit most from it? We will discuss what a truly socialist approach to healthcare would look like—and how it's very different from "Obamacare."

Despite over 50 years of the U.S. blockade, the Cuban Revolution not only survives, but retains critical influence in history and politics around the world. Hear an eyewitness report on the progress and challenges facing the Cuban Revolution from Gloria La Riva, long time activist and expert on Cuba. La Riva recently returned from Cuba, where she attended a conference on the Cuban Five, political prisoners held in the United States for preventing acts of terrorism. How does the Cuban revolution confront all of its challenges? What can we learn from Cuban people?
