On this Saturday, October 26, thousands of people from across the political spectrum will unite in Washington, D.C. to take a stand against unconstitutional NSA surveillance. You are invited to see this historic national protest against NSA surveillance live-streamed from Washington DC in the company of civil liberties activists from the SF 99% Coalition, Restore the 4th and others, right here in SF! To participate, come to the ACLU of Northern California office, 39 Drumm Street (2nd floor) this Saturday from 9 am to noon
This Saturday, October 26 is the 12th anniversary of the signing of the USA PATRIOT Act. The decline in civil liberties that we have experienced in this country since then is staggering and incompatible with democracy. Revelations from whistle blowers have forced the the government to admit that Americans are being subjected to a large (and we would say: unacceptable) level of surveillance. It's time to stand up and say "No!" and that's exactly what's happening this Saturday in Washington DC.
If you can't be there, join Bay Area civil liberties activists in SF to watch a live-stream of the "Stop Watching Us" rally in DC.
