Transition Berkeley’s Screening the Green series continues, with a documentary that follows one couple’s pedal-powered adventure across the U.S. in search of sustainable community. Mandy and Ryan have given up their corporate jobs and traditional houses to bike-pack thousands of miles around the country, visiting eco-villages, co-ops, and Transition Towns, seeking to answer the question: is it possible for all of us to live in a sustainable way? The adventures they have along the way and the people they meet will warm your heart and lift your spirits. Learn more about the film at http://www.withinreachmovie.com .
Within Reach associate producer Raines Cohen will facilitate a conversation after the film on steps for creating and finding community. residents of local co-ops, cohousing and co-householding will be on hand to answer questions. Light and local refreshments will be served. Contact: info [at] transitionberkeley.com ; optional RSVP at http://www.ebcoho.org
