Learn abut fracking/acidizing in California--what they are and what we can do to ban these extreme forms of oil extraction. What are the risks to water, climate, air, health? What have we done in the past year to stop fracking in California? How can we work with local officials to pass resolutions and ordinances against fracking? Speakers from the Sierra Club, 350 Bay Area and Food and Water Watch include Lora Jo Foo, Adam Scow and Shannon Biggs. There will be action-oriented breakout groups to strategize and mobilize.
