Time:
3:00 PM - 5:00 PM
Event Type:
Party/Street Party

Jahan Khalighi

Derby Street, half block west of sacramento, Berkeley

Join us for a fun community celebration with neighbors in honor of the Sante Fe Right-of-Way Bioremediation Project. Get a chance to meet the leaders of this interesting project and connect with other people interested in environmental health. The SFROW Bioremediation Garden is a project experimenting with using a type of Fern to remediate contaminated soil along the Sante Fe Right-of-Way that runs through Berkeley.

Bring friends and family or come on your own to this sidewalk party. Enjoy food and beverages and get a chance to connect with others.

We have just completed the first big harvest of fern fronds from SFROW Arsenic Remediation Project. We will measure the amount of arsenic in the fronds to see how much arsenic the ferns have removed from the contaminated soil in the old railroad right-of-way.

Cost: Free
