2nd Annual Sacramento Red Dress Party

The 2nd annual Sacramento Red Dress Party continues to build on a concept popularized by events in Portland and Seattle that blends an evening of pure fun with raising funds for a good cause. The required wearing of a red dress by all guests, regardless of age, gender, or sexual orientation at the Red Dress Party serves as a powerful symbol of solidarity with people living with HIV/AIDS and also reminds us that we are all brought together for one night to raise awareness, reduce stigma, and raise funds for organizations that provide support services.

This year’s party will feature RuPaul’s Drag Race star and Miss Congeniality Ivy Winters, San Francisco DJ Lee Decker, live aerial performances by Aerial Evolution, local drag king/queen performances, crowd performers, and red hot go-go boys and girls.

This year’s event benefits Sacramento LGBT Community Center as well as Sunburst Projects/Camp Sunburst, an organization which offers support services to children and families affected by HIV/AIDS including a yearly summer camp program.
