Evacuate the Children and Families in Fukushima
Eliminate All Nuclear Power Plants in The US, Japan And The World
Wednesday September 11, 2013 3:00 PM
Japan Consulate San Francisco
50 Fremont St.
San Francisco, California
The No Nukes Action Committee along with other organizations and individuals has been having monthly rallies and speak-outs the 11th at the Japanese consulate in San Francisco to call for the evacuation of children and families of Fukushima, their compensation and the permanent closure of all nuclear plants in Japan, the US and around the world.
Despite the propaganda by Tokyo Electric Power Company TEPCO, the Japanese government and the US government that Fukushima can be decontaminated and that radiation can be "overcome" the reality is that this plant with three reactors is still highly radioactive and after more than two years it continues to leak tons of radioactive water into the Pacifica Ocean and the radioactivity is rising in the area. This is clearly out of control and an international emergency.
It is critical that our voices speak out to warn and prevent any further international catastrophe. The Japanese government and US government continue to support and defend nuclear power as a safe technology despite the lessons of Fukushima, Chernobyl and Three Mile Island.
The future of our world is at stake and we must stop this continued agenda and protect the people of Fukushima, Japan and the world from another catastrophe and emergency measures to stop the continued release of radioactive material and waste from the area.
Please attend and speak out at this important speak out and rally.
