Look for Our “Ask A Grandparent” Booth
Grandparents are becoming a major focal point in America now. Their increased numbers and longer life-span will require more healthcare and coping support, yet corporate-driven policy-makers want to withdraw that support for millions who have worked all their lives.
But grandparents are not just victims. Grandparents are assuming a more important family support role, as their adult children’s job opportunities, income, and childcare options are all being cut back. And grandparents have the power of having lived through an era when they pushed back hard against poverty, war, and racism. This is a story that can inspire and move future generations.
Caring Across Generations is a national campaign to create a million new jobs caring for seniors and people with disabilities, where caregivers’ jobs have dignity, security, good pay, and training, and care recipients get the financial assistance and support they need to engage caregivers.
Join us as Caring Across Generations honors grandparents, both as care givers and care recipients. Read more at http://www.caringacross.org/
