Dear Commoneers,
This program is an unprecedented opportunity to practically connect the fight-the-foreclosures objectives of the Occupy Movement with the larger, affluent San Francisco community.
Your participation will succeed in communicating to bourgeois San Franciscans the insidious role of privilege in real estate.
Developers who wish to bring needed housing to San Francisco also want to break the height limit on buildings fronting the Embarcadero. The privilege the campaign is combating here isn't the luxury condo construction at 8 Washington, it's the height variance sought for 8 Washington. The developer wants gobs of extra money for breaking the building and design aesthetics of the city.
The issue is on the November ballot. Don't get caught flat-footed; come to this event and learn what's what!
The Commons SF is joining with the No Wall campaign to defeat privilege.
