Join the Ecology Center for a free community worm composting workshop on-site with our neighbors at the Urban Adamah farm. You will learn how to set up a home vermicomposting system, care for your worms, and harvest castings from your bin. Everything you need to begin worm composting at home will be available for purchase including red wigglers, bins, coconut coir bedding, oyster flour and finished worm castings.
After the workshop, feel free to stick around and check out the worm farm and the notorious “worminator”- the device we use to harvest our worms. The Ecology Center is co-sponsoring this event as part of our Urban Soils event series.
Time: 2pm-3pm, with an opportunity to explore the farm after.
This event is FREE, but registration is appreciated — RSVP online. For more information about Urban Worm, call 510-649-1250 or email: worms [at] urbanadamah.org
Wheelchair Accessibility: Please contact organizer for wheelchair accessibility information.
