Native American Traditional Dancers lose all in Silver Fire
A fundraising campaign has been put in place to help northern traditional dancer Robert Silent Thunder and fancy shawl dancer from the Cheyenne River Sioux reservation Kristian Smith put their lives back together after losing everything in the Silver Fire.
Robert D. SilentThunder and Kristian Smith lost their home and all of their personal belongings in the Silver Fire. If you know them as dancers, you have seen their regalia, their medicine; if you dance, if you know even a little bit about the native way, you know that much of what they lost can never be replaced...but they can, and they will, start over. Redbird has started a fundraising campaign for them, which ends on August 28. If you can, please help Robert and Kristy put their lives back together. If you aren't sure who they are, look at the images on the link below. Chances are you will immediately recognize them. You don't have to be Indian or anything else to show compassion. Just do what your heart tells you.
