An essential part of reaping urban gardening’s many health benefits is learning how to avoid lead exposure. Participants will gain an understanding of how lead behaves in the garden and simple ways to avoid eating and breathing it. Learn where lead is likely to be found, methods for thorough testing, and how to interpret the results. Daniel will also cover strategies for gardening with different levels of contamination as well as discussing new research regarding remediation.
