This BFUU Sunday Service will feature Ziad Abbas, who will discuss the Maia Project, one of many programs conducted by MECA, the Middle East Children’s Alliance. Ziad Abbas, program manager for cross-cultural programs at MECA, is a Palestinian refugee from Dheisheh Refugee Camp in the West Bank. He is the cofounder of the Ibdaa Cultural Center in Dheisheh. Ziad is also a filmmaker, journalist, and educator who has worked with Palestinian and international media and helped create several documentary films. The donation plate will be earmarked specifically for MECA's Maia Project. Bring some clean water to share with any children present at the service. Dirty water will be available to view, but not drink.
