A PUBLIC FORUM: What Is the Trans-Pacific Partnership, And Why Are People Saying All Those Terrible Things About It?
The TPP is a multi-national "free-trade" agreement strongly supported by corporations (Chevron, Halliburton, Walmart, AT&R, Cargill and Pfizer, among others), banks, and powerful government officials. Negotiations to finalize the deal are taking place behind closed doors. This forum will featuer speakers: DANNY O'BRIEN, International Director, Electronic Frontier Foundation (EFF), and Victor Menotti, Executive Director, International Forum on Globalization (IFG).
