Join ECOSF at Urban Bazaar for an afternoon of preserving the harvest like our parents and grandparents did - water bath canning! During this experiential workshop you'll learn everything you need to know about safely canning jam - as well as salsa and other high acid concoctions - and get the chance to make some jam or salsa to take home. Specifically, we'll cover health and safety concerns, canning home economics, and recipes. We'll also take a moment to talk about pressure canning which allows you to can all foods but especially low acid foods like beans, soups, and vegetables. Space if limited so please RSVP with Urban Bazaar by http://urbanbazaarsf.com/home or call 415.664.4422.
