SEIU 1021 BART Strike Rally Civic Center

SEIU 1021 held a rally at Civic Center at 5PM on the first day of the BART strike, to highlight labor negotiation issues. It was part of a full day of actions, this rally timed to include daytime workers just completing ther shifts. (23 minutes)

The rally included many short speeches from workers, uinon officials, and other community activists standing in solidarity. A primary issue being emphasized in public outreach is worker safety issues, including violent attacks, something that BART management has apparently been ignoring. More updated strike information can be found on the SEIU 1021 website.
