"Start the summer off with the fiery yet soulful music of Latin Jazz harpist/singer Liza Wallace! Liza has just released her new album, “Waken”, with her band, the Present Time Ensemble; a popular music chamber ensemble consisting of harp, voice, clarinet, violin, cello, bass, and percussion. Now it’s time to share their music! This concert will feature music from “Waken” as well as new arrangements and compositions hot off the press. As a composer and arranger, Liza draws from Venezuelan, Brazilian, and Cuban styles as well as North American Jazz and Folk music. Her music combines the sensitivity of old Appalachian Folk songs with the hot rhythms of Salsa. Come prepared to laugh, cry, and dance all at the same time.
