Friends of SFILSP is a volunteer-run organization that provides grants to foster youth leaving the foster care system who are pursuing educational and life goals. The Friends board members will be on site if you want to get involved or learn more! To date, Friends has given out over $190,000 to 200+ deserving youth recipients! The youth are the driving force behind achieving their goals; we supplement their ambition by providing acts of mentorship as well as monetary awards.
For those that can’t attend, but wish to donate, please visit: (http://www.friendsofsfilsp.org/ways.to.give.htm)
The minimum suggested donation is $15.00. (Will be collected at the door, or you can donate through our website!) All proceeds benefit foster youth transitioning from the system. Plenty of information will be on hand about our organization and can also visit http://www.friendsofsfilsp.org.
Food starts @ 8:30p and the band @ 9p! We thank El Rio for being an excellent community partner, The Trouble With Monkeys for playing the show and the SF Bay Illini for getting the word out to their folks!
