The debate over immigration is heating up again. Unfortunately, few people are aware of the role that U.S. economic and military interests played in triggering an unprecedented wave of migration from Latin America that is transforming our nation’s cultural and economic landscape. Harvest of Empire is a feature-length documentary that examines the direct connection between the long history of U.S. intervention in Latin America and the immigration challenges we face today. It will be show free of charge as part of the Second Saturday Documentary Series on July 13, 1:30 p.m., at Niles Discovery Church, 255 H St., Fremont. Discussion will follow the screening.
