Hanna Winery proudly joins WhyHunger, a leading non-profit in the fight against hunger and poverty, to present the “Homemade Jams: 100 House Concerts to End Hunger” benefit at Hanna Winery on Friday, June 28, 2013, from 5:00 - 8:00 PM. In addition to the performance, the evening will include wine and dinner. This event is being held during National Hunger Awareness Month. The ticket price is $100 per person. All proceeds will benefit WhyHunger.
Set amongst the exquisite gardens and vineyards at Hanna Winery, this very special fundraising event features an outdoor walk-around tasting reception and buffet-style sit down dinner featuring award-winning Hanna wines, wood oven pizzas, locally grown and sourced farm fresh salads from Rosso’s and seasonal desserts; plus a one hour performance by Jen Chapin and the Jen Chapin Trio. Jen Chapin is an American vocalist. She has been compared at times with Laura Nyro, Tori Amos, and Alanis Morissette. Chapin's own website describes her music as "jazz tinged urban folk... incorporating the funk, soul and improvisation of the city".
