Prisoner Letter Writing night for International Day of Solidarity with Long Term Anarchist Prisoners

This Tuesday at 5:30 pm we’ll have a focus on long term anarchist prisoners and have their stories and addresses available, but as always those in attendance are encouraged to write any prisoner of their choosing.

June 11th is the international day of solidarity with long term anarchist prisoners, including, but not limited to, Marie Mason, who is facing 22 years in Federal prison (http://www.supportmariemason.org), and Eric McDavid, who is facing 20 years (http://www.supporteric.org).

Supplies, stamps, addresses snacks and tea will be provided! Just be ready to write some letters.

We also encourage everyone to go see the film screening of “Better This World” later at 7pm hosted at 518 Valencia. The film follows the case of David McKay and Bradley Crowder, who were arrested on terrorism charges at the 2008 National Republican Convention. In a situation eerily similar to Eric McDavid’s, the film demonstrates how far the State will go to entrap those who are seeking to create social change.
