All across the country, and right here in the Bay Area, our public transportation systems are under attack. In many cities, public transit systems are being privatized. Year after year, funding cuts are imposed on transit, both at the state and federal level. Everywhere transit workers are facing cuts to wages, benefits and retirement, along with working under shortstaffing, longer hours and irregular schedules. And working families who rely on public transit have had to suffer through continuous cuts in routes, shorter schedules, and constant fare increases.
Come to a forum for a presentation and discussion about the ongoing attacks on public transit and the possibilities to organize a fight back
