Restraining order issued against Amanda Lollar of Bat World Sanctuary
Lollar and Bat World Sanctuary were investigated and violations were found. Lollar ultimately lost her USDA permit. A USDA veterinarian stated in writing that Lollar caused bats "pain, suffering" and "death." Lollar who has not gone past the eighth grade and has never taken a class in animal care performs surgery on bats without pain relief. The bats die.
Lollar was also reprimanded by TPWD in writing which stated she did not have an exhibit permit, her unreleasable bats were not approved, she is not allowed to exhibit bats, she is not a bat expert, she is not allowed to treat bats with white nose syndrome, she is not allowed to have a bat assurance colony and she should defer to Bat Conservation Intentional and Fish & Wildlife as they are true bat experts.
Lollar has been stalking, defaming and harassing Cummins in retaliation for reporting her to authorities. Even though Amanda Lollar was served the restraining order May 28, 2013 personally and through her attorney Randy Turner May 29, 2013 she continues to violate the restraining order. Lollar continues to defame, libel and harass Cummins on the Internet. Lollar's harassment has become so bizarre as to accuse Cummins of forging the restraining order document. Lollar claims that Lollar is the victim and not the perpetrator. The official court documents of course state otherwise. Lollar has also been using Facebook to incite others to attack Cummins and even post death threats.
As per the restraining order Lollar must stay 100 yards away from Cummins, her home and her place of work. Lollar also cannot "harass, intimidate, molest, attack, strike, stalk, threaten, assault, hit, abuse, destroy personal property of, or disturb the peace of" Cummins. She cannot "contact, either directly or indirectly, in any way, including, but not limited to, in person, by telephone, in writing, by public or private mail, by interoffice mail, by email, be text message, by fax, or by other electronic means." This would include postings on the Internet directed toward Cummins.
So far Lollar has violated the restraining order a few times. Each time has been documented and reported to the police in Los Angeles, California and Mineral Wells, Texas. An arrest warrant may soon be issued for Amanda Lollar of Bat World Sanctuary.
