How to Save the Environment: End Capitalism!
Friday, May 31, 7pm
2969 Mission St., San Francisco
Join the Party for Socialism and Liberation for a public Marxist study group on the latest issue of Liberation newspaper.
This study group is focusing on the environment, how the capitalist profit motive is ruining our oceans, food supply, and ability to survive into the future.
We will examine a few cases that show this, while pointing to Cuba's environmental successes as an example of what a planned economy can accomplish. We will cover how recycling, while good, can't solve the major problems, and the U.S. government's failures to abide by international protocol. We will also discuss how environmental degradation hits oppressed Native communities in particular, and another deals with the environmental pressures facing countries struggling to overcome underdevelopment.
Attend this study group for a clear understanding of what's behind the current environmental crisis facing the planet, and how to fight to save it.

Recently we just past 400 parts per million of Carbon Dioxide in our atmosphere not seen in 2 million years never seen before by Humans in our history. We have seen government and kkkorporations do nothing to address the most critical issue we face and yet we ourselves are guilty of not taking action to get out of our cars. The Tree People and the Indigenous community are putting on the 4th annual 4 day 9-11 Stop Driving (.org) Global Warming. Starting on September 11th we are asking people to stop driving for four days to boycott Big Oil and defend Our Mother Earth. See www.stopdriving.org
