Movie Night benefit for the Freedom Socialist newspaper— “Harvest of Empire: The Untold Story of Latinos in America”
Based on the groundbreaking book by "Democracy Now!" co-host Juan González, this new documentary film takes an unflinching look at how U.S. economic and military interests have triggered waves of migration from our neighbors to the South. Without alternative working-class media, this story of what drives people to leave their homelands would not have been told.

Proceeds will kick off the $100,000 Freedom Socialist Fund Drive.

A homemade chili supper with vegetarian options will be served at 6:30 p.m. ($8 requested donation). Requested door donation is $5-10 (work exchanges available).

The movie screening takes place at New Valencia Hall (address and directions above). Everyone is welcome! For work exchanges or childcare, please call ahead. For more information, call 415-864-1278 or email bafsp [at] earthlink.net.

We (Indigenous) are using Migration instead of Immigration as vocabulary is powerful as migrant workers or guest have been crossing these lands for 1000 years with no borders. Immigration ratifies the stealing of the lands and murdering of my people which happens to be a genocide never seen before at 99%. "We did cross the Border, the Border crossed us" which means Indian Country is from the top of Alaska to the tip of Peru. Everybody (Yellow, Red, Black and White) is welcome here but this illegal government of United Snakes of Amerikkklan. It is a spiritual war of KKKowboyz and Indians and everybody can be Indigenous but we must stop hurting our Mother Earth (Stop Driving and Plant a Garden).
We are 100% volunteer and depend on your participation to sustain our efforts!
