for upcoming "Fossil Fuel Resistance" actions to Stop Keystone XL Tar Sands Pipeline, Chevron's Refinery Toxic Hazards and for Environmental and Climate Justice
Facilitated by a team of experienced trainers, we’ll prepare ourselves to engage in or support nonviolent direct action to stop Keystone XL and for environmental and climate justice. We will also on give updates on upcoming mobilizations against the Keystone XL and Chevron Richmond Refinery's toxic hazards--including the refineries efforts to refine dirtier tar sand and fracking oil.
An informative & fun afternoon for:
anyone who is interested in participating in upcoming nonviolent direct action - and -
those who are willing to support others risking arrest - and -
folks who just want to find out more.
"Time is running out for our future on this planet, but the human race isn't going down without a fight. In recent years, a bold new wave of environmental activists has stepped up to stop the fossil fuel industry before it's too late. This movement "has no great charismatic leader and no central organization," writes Bill McKibben in his latest Rolling Stone feature, "The Fossil Fuel Resistance." "It battles on a thousand fronts. But taken together, it's now big enough to matter, and it's growing fast."
Cosponored By Keystone Action Council, No Tar Sands Campaign of Bay Area 350.org, and Idle No More Solidarity.

Yes now that we passed the 400 particles per million as far as Carbon dioxide which has not been matched in 2 million years. We need to support Direct action against the XL pipeline but not just sit back and eat our cake (Driving our Cars) and expect this government. It is Time to support the 4th annual 4 day Stop Driving(.org) campaign starting on September 11th we (Indigenous community) are asking people not to use their automobiles for four (directions) days in an old fashioned boycott. We are known as the Non-movement which is showing people how to just stop killing our Mother which does not mean stop everything there is other means - BART, Trains, Buses, bicycles and walking - try it it might set you free.
