Socialism and the LGBT Struggle
Come Out for Peace and Freedom
Stonewall Inn owner Jimmy Pisano remarked, “Transvestites, transsexuals, gays and lesbians stood shoulder-to-shoulder here, so it’s appropriate to salute their fearlessness here.” We’ve come a long way since Stonewall, and Peace and Freedom has always supported the struggles of our LGBT comrades because we know how much queer socialists, from Oscar Wilde to Harry Hay, have contributed to our struggle for socialism. We have invited Kathy Labriola, a nurse and counselor who works in the LGBT community, to lead our discussion of this vital issue.
