The Rose Foundation for Communities and the Environment is hosting a film festival to celebrate 20 years of growing the grassroots and inspiring community action for environmental and social justice on Saturday, May 4th at 6:30pm. Join them at the New Parkway Theater in Oakland for Action! Movies that Motivate Change for the East Bay premiere and award-winning documentary Trashed (starring Jeremy Irons), Oakland-produced film 16 Seeds and Mark Kitchell’s A Fierce Green Fire.
Come early to meet the filmmakers, connect with folks in the community, chow down on glorious peasant food from Streatery food truck, and get a chance to bid on exciting silent auction items at the pre Party!
