On the occasion of an infamous triple anniversary ...
Despite Israel lifting its ban on importing certain items into Gaza and the new Islamist government in Egypt, the Gaza Strip continues to suffer from a suffocating blockade on trade and travel.
Special guest Henry Norr, who visited Gaza in December 2012, reports on economic and political conditions in the world’s largerst open-air prison. Formerly a technology journalist, Mr. Norr was fired from the San Francisco Chronicle ten years ago for his daring reporting on Intel’s Fab 18 chip plant in Israel built on disputed land.
Sharat G. Lin also marks the 10th anniversary of the Israeli murder of solidarity activist Rachel Corrie, the 10th anniversary of the U.S. invasion of Iraq, and the 25th anniversary of the Iraqi chemical weapons attack on Halabcha.
Suggested donation $5-10 (no one turned away for lack of funds)
