I am an Indigenous elder from the Blackfeet Nation in Montana and we are getting people to use Migrant instead of Immigrant. As "We (Indigenous) did not cross the borders. The borders crossed us" because Indian country stretches from the Artic Circle to the tip of Chile. When you use Immigrant you justify the borders, vocabulary is powerful. "Who are you calling Immigrant ?, Pilgrim" should be one of the chants. Good luck
We are 100% volunteer and depend on your participation to sustain our efforts!
