Reported FBI Raid at punk haus, "The Music Box" in Oakland

12 noon update: The raid on "The Music Box" has been confirmed. Between 15 and 20 OPD officers, one FBI agent, and one Citrus Heights police officer served a search warrant signed by officers in Sacramento and raided the house at 7AM this morning. The raiding officers ransacked the place, pointed semi-automatic weapons at occupants, and took items out of the house. Officers said they were looking for someone who once lived in the house, which the occupants claim is already in jail. It is unknown exactly what was taken at this time, but people living at the house state that 3 boxes were taken out of the house by officers. This is the second raid on The Music Box in 3 months, the first being an ICE raid reportedly for marriage fraud in December.

10:25 AM From Tumblr: "my house was raided, there was a warrant, we were all dragged outside barely clothed and forced to sit out there, no bathroom access, they broke our fucking mirror for no reason, scared the fuck out of my cat, handcuffed a housemate for trying to grab her cigarettes, claimed to be looking for some person but wouldn’t say whom, warrant gave no clues."

10:15 AM From twitter: "OAKLAND: there is an FBI raid happening now at the music box please come to support and document. Spread the word my housemates are being held in the front yard by cops with huge guns. It is not an eviciton, its a raid. 'looking for someone', wont say who."

10 AM Unconfirmed reports are coming in that FBI have served an arrest warrant at "The Music Box" in Oakland, located at 34th and Market. We will update info as it comes in.
