UN Plaza, Hyde & Fulton in San Francisco(near the Civic Center BART station)

The Walk for Life WC is a mass mobilization of anti-abortion activists from around the country that will descend for the 9th time on San Francisco and take to the streets with their doctored photos of stillborns, dehumanizing polarization of women, and all the objectification, enslavement, shame, and condemnation that typifies this front of the War on Women. The movement to End Pornography & Patriarchy is calling for women and men who are uncompromising and refusing to stop until all women have access to abortion on demand and without apology. We have a powerful track record of resistance against the institutions and forces of patriarchy. This protest can take all that higher -- and lay a basis for going even further. All that’s needed is YOU!

WHO WE ARE

StopPatriarchy.org is a movement determined to bring forward millions of people to end all forms of degradation, enslavement, and oppression of women -- from the increasingly violent and cruel nature of pornography (even as it becomes more mainstream) to the Christian fascist assault on women's fundamental right to abortion and even birth control, and everything in between. URGENT NEED: RISE UP FOR ABORTION RIGHTS ON THE WEEK OF THE 40TH ANNIVERSARY OF ROE V. WADE

January 22, 2013 will mark the 40th anniversary of Roe v. Wade, the Supreme Court decision which legalized abortion. Yet today, abortion is more stigmatized, more dangerous to provide, and more difficult to access than at any time in the last 40 years. It is URGENT that this tremendous anniversary be marked by mass expressions of women and men taking to the streets to defend abortion and defeat the war on women.

On January 22 in San Francisco, men and women will demonstrate in front of City Hall against the degradation and enslavement of women represented by recent attacks on abortion. Then later that day we will hold a meeting in Berkeley on orientation and action to DIRECTLY confront & OPPOSE the West Coast Walk for "Life" On January 26 in San Francisco.

Meanwhile in DC, we will mobilize young activists and others in a Week of Action to declare Abortion on Demand and Without Apology -- through protest confronting the March for "Life" (ie: the March for Forced Motherhood) and through our own protests, teach-ins, flash outreach, and an Emergency Summit.

Fetuses are NOT babies.
Abortion is NOT murder.
Women are NOT incubators.
We are 100% volunteer and depend on your participation to sustain our efforts!
