The tragedy of 9/11 didn't stop when the Twin Towers fell. Targeting accelerated, and the victims are still being created. Nicoletta Karam has written the definitive book on the forgotten victims of 9/11. This book is an attempt to document that this backlash did occur, and was much worse and much longer in duration than many Americans realize. Come celebrate the release of this much needed analysis of the 9/11 backlash of violent hate crimes upon diverse groups of people by racist nativist elements in the population. http://www.911backlash.com Potluck at 6:15 precedes program at 7 PM.

I am looking forward to hearing Nicoletta Karam speak at BFUU. She is a warm, articulate person who has amassed a staggering amount of research on hate crimes in America. She is that rare person, a researcher who can present her work in an engaging manner. This event is not to be missed.
