Homes Not Jails celebrates 20 years of housing activism this Thursday @ SUB-mission, 2183 Mission Street, in San Francisco's Mission district!

Homes Not Jails celebrates 20 years of housing activism this Thursday @ SUB-mission, 2183 Mission Street, in San Francisco's Mission district! With free bands, free food, & the screening of a new short doc made expressly for the occasion. For 20 years now Homes Not Jails, along with kindred Bay Area activist portals like Food Not Bombs & the SF Tenants Union, has fought the crazed capitalist worldview that places real estate & property rights over human happiness & life. If you're a band or artist who would like to perform, or otherwise contribute to the party, there's still time for you....inquire within.

Militant housing activist collective Homes Not Jails celebrates 20 years in its birthplace of San Francisco on Thursday, Nov. 15th, with a gathering beginning 7pm at SUB-mission, 2183 Mission Street @ 18th St. There will be free food, bands & performances, & the screening of a short doc film made specially for the occasion.

For two decades now, Homes Not Jails — like its kindred San Francisco organizations Food Not Bombs & the SF Tenants Union — has fought in favor of people over greedy landlords & others who value real estate commodities over human life & the need for shelter. That struggle is, if anything, more relevant today than ever. Please come celebrate 20 years with former & current members of Homes Not Jails San Francisco at SUB-mission (2183 Mission St @ 18th St) this Thursday, Nov. 15th. Begins at 7pm. Expect: bands, free food, screening of a new short doc film, squatters.

ALSO happening Thursday, Nov. 15th, right next door at NOISEBRIDGE (San Francisco's most anarchocreative hackerspace), 2169 Mission Street: the return of 5 MINUTERS OF FAME, beginning at 8pm, suggested donation $5 to $10, no one turned away. More info at https://noisebridge.net.
We are 100% volunteer and depend on your participation to sustain our efforts!
