The Alameda County Peace and Freedom Party and Movement presents: "The Criminal Injustice System: The role of prisons in capitalist society and perspectives on change." Speakers include: • Steve Martinot, author of The Need to Abolish the Prison System: an Ethical Indictment, • Urszula Wislanka, Pelican Bay Hunger Strike Support Committee, and News and Letters • Tommy Escarcega, prisoner rights activist. Presentations will be followed by open discussion.

This is part of our on-going "Suds, Snacks, & Socialism at the Starry Plough" Forum Series on the first Saturday of every month from 2-4:30 pm. The featured panel will start promptly at 2:30 pm and the forum will end by 4:30 pm, but folks can stay and talk as long as you like.
