On Armistice Day, as we honor our fallen fighting men and women and
all veterans, we pay attention to the victims of war.
John Guiliano has served communities in El Salvador since the height
of their 12 year civil war, a conflict perpetuated by our nation where
80,000 lost their lives. His Tamarindo Foundation founded during that tragic time has
expanded to become a school, dining hall, community center & home.
Plowshares anti-nuclear activist Susan Crane will join John after
completing the final part of her extended sentence at the women's
Federal Correction Institute, Dublin. Join John, Susan and other
surprise guests in helping rebuild El Salvador while we consider what
is required to end war-making and, particularly, the threat of nuclear
weapons. Co-sponsored by St. Joseph the Worker Catholic SJC and BFUU SJC.
Info: 510-499-0537
Suggested donation $5-$25 to benefit the Tamarindo Foundation (http://www.tamarindofounation.org)
Wheelchair accessible.
