Hundreds of protests have swept across the Arab and Muslim world in recent weeks. The trigger for most of the protests was a despicable, extreme right-wing and Islamophobic video made in California that ridicules Mohammed, regarded as the prophet and founder of the Islamic religion by all Muslims. But a long, brutal history of western colonialism underlies this mass upheaval.

Afghanistan: Protesting 11 Years of War & Occupation

The Afghanistan war is now the longest in U.S. history. What has the war and occupation meant for the people of that country? For the people of the U.S.? Hear about plans for protests in SF, across the country and around the world on the weekend of October 6-7, the 11 anniversary of the start of the U.S./NATO occupation and what you can do to help end the war.
