Cuban Revolution

Since the triumph of the Cuban Revolution in 1959, the U.S. government – through 10 administrations, Democrats and Republicans alike – has waged war against a small neighboring country. Why? While still a relatively poor country, revolutionary Cuba has been able to provide healthcare, housing and education for the entire population. Today Cuba is ranked as the most literate country in the world, with a literacy rate of 99.9%. How has a state with very limited resources been able to accomplish this? What are the challenges that Cuba faces today and how is its government seeking to meet those challenges.

Dramatic revelations in the case of the Cuban 5
The case of the Cuban 5 is at a critical stage, with final appeals now filed. The Cuban 5 are Cuban men who came to the U.S. to infiltrate right-wing terrorist groups that have carried out attacks on Cuba for the past 50 years with U.S. support. They have been unjustly imprisoned for 14 years for trying to stop terrorism against their homeland. Evidence has come to light showing that many of the Miami journalists who helped poison the atmosphere in Miami against the Five when they were on trial, were at the same time on the U.S. government payroll.

Desde el triunfo de la revolución cubana en 1959, el gobierno de los EE.UU.—durante 10 administraciones, Demócratas y Republicanos por igual—han lanzado una guerra contra un país vecino pequeño. ¿Por qué? Aunque todavía es un país relativamente pobre, Cuba revolucionaria ha podido otorgar salud, vivienda y educación para toda la población. Hoy en día, Cuba se califica como el país mas alfabetizado en todo el mundo, con un índice de alfabetización de 99%. ¿Como puede un gobierno con recursos muy limitados han podido lograr esto? ¿Qué son los retos que Cuba enfrenta hoy y como esta el gobierno preparándose para sobrepasarlos?

Revelaciones Dramáticas en el Caso de los Cinco Cubanos
El caso de los 5 Cubanos esta en una fase critica, con las últimas apelaciones ya presentadas. Los 5 Cubanos son hombres cubanos que vinieron a los EE.UU. para infiltrar a grupos derechistas terroristas que han logrado atacar a Cuba por los últimos 50 años con apoyo estadunidense. Ellos han estado injustamente encarcelados por 14 años por intentar detener el terrorismo contra su patria. Evidencia ha surgido mostrando que muchos de los reporteros de Miami que ayudaron envenenar el ambiente en Miami contra los Cinco cuando estaban en juicio, a la misma vez estaban siendo pagados por el gobierno de los EE.UU.
