Our determinded and excited Friends of Taft Botanical Gardens and "Taft Tree Frogs" will demonstrate a postive new way forward.
Taft Botanical Gardens ~ National Planting Day will highlight environmental science, urban agriculture and nutrition education.
Join the Friends of Taft Botanical Garden for a wonderful day of community coming together with regional supporters working together.
Nationwide "Get Growing America" is the theme and preparation for collaborative local action in the heart of the California Central Valley build on a good foundation at Taft Montessori Learning Academy.
Get Growing Stockton is our working campaign to stimulate job creation, cultural identification, technical education and community development. Together we will continue to build and celebrate "First Fruits" Agriculture Expo and 160th Anniversary of the Stockton Unified School District on Saturday, December 1, 2012.
Keep California Beautiful, is part of a nationwide network hosting the first ever National Planting Day.
Taft Botanical Gardens ~ National Planting Day joins the celebration of the value and power of native species in restoring ecological balance to the environment, while creating greener, more beautiful communities. With a national focus on September 8 and activities happening throughout the Fall, national nonprofit Keep America Beautiful, its affiliates and its partners are mobilizing Americans to plant native species of trees, flowers, and plants.
Saturday, September 8, 2012, 11:30 a.m. - 3:30 p.m., Taft Botanical Gardens Planting Day ~ "Get Stockton Growing" will highlight environmental science, urban agriculture and nutrition education. Students, Families, Staff and Friends of Taft Botanical Garden are inviting regional leaders and our growing base of community supporters to a wonderful day of celebration.
Taft Botanical Gardens is poised to become a regional education center highlighting the bounty of the 7th largest county agriculture economy in the nation, while demonstrating innovative intercultural and interfaith natural fruits and vegetables traditions. Everyone is welcome, bring your positive attitude, innovative ideas and wear comfortable clothes to enjoy the day.
