Join us before the Lorin Station crop swap for a talk with herbalist Tellur Fenner. He'll give us an overview of the diverse array of both edible and medicinal plants found growing within our Bay Area micro-climates. Historical and modern medicinal applications will be touched upon, along with any edible and/or utilitarian potential. Tips on basic plant identification will be offered, with an emphasis on how to differentiate poisonous look-alike plants from their beneficial counterparts. Plant family characteristics will be discussed as well. Bring medicinal herbs you are growing to share and discuss.

The Lorin Street Crop Swap is a chance to meet fellow urban gardeners, exchange fruits and vegetables from your garden, and participate in this growing food movement. The crop swap happens from 1pm - 2pm and the Herbal Medicine talk happens from 12noon-1pm.

Cost: Free.
