Readiness Hearing for the Santa Cruz Eleven (Just a pro-forma hearing, but all 7 remaining defendants will be there).
There will also be a challenge to Rebekah Young for not having provided full discovery of all the evidence (particularly as to the alleged damage at 75 River St.). There may also be a Motion to Dismiss charges from at least one of the defendants.
The formal circus starts on Monday August 20th at 9 AM and is likely to go for much of the week.
Defendants face a possible 7 years in jail for having been in the 75 River St. empty bank building last year reporting on or supporting a peaceful 3-day protest intended to provide a community center and/or homeless shelter space in a Wells Fargo-leased building empty for 4 years now.
