This is the kick-off to this season's lecture-discussion-film series on war and military matters sponsored by the Friedrich Engels Institute of Marxist War and Military Analysis. It will present both an overview of some of the chief contributions of Engels on issues of war, peace and the military, as well as factors that led him to these studies. The largest single portion (40%) of Engels' work is on this subject yet it is seldom referenced in Marxist circles in the U.S. The presentation will attempt to a least partially remedy this neglect.
Later sessions this season will explore some theoretical and practical aspects of Engels as applied by Marxists following in his footsteps on war, peace and miliary issues.
Presentation by Al Sargis, Coordinator, Friedrich Engels Institute of Marxist War & Military Analysis
