Create, schmooze, crunch! Enjoy a multi-faceted evening in the midst of the Days of Awe. Pickle a jar of yummy cucumbers just like they make on the Lower East Side with Wilderness Torah, who will teach the art of creating the perfect sour. Take a break to preserve your thoughts, beliefs, and memories in a Reboot-powered digital vault, 10Q.

Catch an Art Flash Gallery Chat on the exhibition California Dreaming: Jewish Life in the Bay Area from the Gold Rush to the Present with Museum Writer-in-Residence Dan Schifrin.

Then watch East and West (1923), a silent comedy classic starring the beloved Yiddishe star Molly Picon. As a secular Jew who travels back to Galicia for a religious family wedding right before the High Holidays, Picon tries to get into as much trouble as a modern girl in a shtetl can; from lifting weights, to teaching young villagers to shimmy. Accompanied by a lively, newly composed film score.

The Reboot-powered 10Q project is an ambitious online effort to reverse the trend of living only for the moment that has crowded out that ancient ritual. 10Q preserves your thoughts, beliefs, and memories in a digital vault. Participants receive a question a day through email for ten days about the past year and the year ahead and then get them back a year later to begin the process again.

Co-presented by Reboot, the San Francisco Jewish Film Festival, Hazon, and Wilderness Torah.
